Dr. Joseph Simfukwe is a lecturer of Physics at the Copperbelt University (CBU) where he also carries out research and consultancy in Renewable Energies and Computational Materials Science. He obtained his PhD in Physics from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in 2020 with a focus on computational study of hematite for hydrogen production. He holds a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Physics from the University of Zambia (UNZA) in Materials Sciences, a Bachelor’s degree in Science with Education (BSc.Ed) (Physics Major) also from UNZA. Dr. Simfukwe is the current of Head of Department (HoD) of Physics at the Copperbelt University (CBU). He is also a Senate member of CBU, a consortium board member of the Pan African Planetary and Space Science Network (PAPSSN). As HoD at CBU he stands ready to support any research/work that promotes the welfare of staff and students.
